I recently attended Martin Barry’s First Aid Awareness course including CPR and Resuscitation. I was quite nervous about attending this course as I have no previous First Aid experience, but from the moment I arrived I was made to feel at ease. The handling of such a difficult subject was made interesting and enjoyable, and I felt it was a great first insight for me. The course was very hands on and we practiced everything Martin had just taught us on some very life like equipment!
Martin’s knowledge and passion for saving lives was overwhelming and I have learnt some great skills – which hopefully I will never have to use! I feel it was well worth the time spent and fantastic value for money, when you think what I was taught that morning could actually save somebody’s life!
Martin was most welcoming from the start of the day. I have attended various first aid courses during my working career before but this course stood out from all of the rest. It was obvious that Martin is very knowledgeable about the subject and passionate about making sure that everyone on the course learnt the subject in a manner suitable to them. As a teacher I have attended various professional development days but none have been as informative, rewarding and enjoyable as this first aid course was. I feel truly able to be able to treat a casualty professionally after this training and would no longer be apprehensive about performing CPR.
